Last week, Samsung unveiled its latest flagship handsets — the Galaxy S10 series. Similar to the iPhone XS series, the S10 series is powered by a 7nm Snapdragon 855 or an 8nm Exynos 9820 chipset. This makes the phones a powerhouse. But how does it compare to the iPhone XS and Apple’s 7nm A12 Bionic chip?

This time around, Samsung has also radically improved the software experience on the Galaxy S10 series. Its new One UI, which debuted as a part of the Android 9.0 Pie update, brings about major usability and performance improvements.

iOS 12 also brought about similar performance improvements and the iPhone XS is a beast thanks to its A12 Bionic chip. So which one is the fastest in day to day use?

As a speed test conducted by YouTuber XeetechCare shows, the Galaxy S10+ is blazing fast when it comes to app loading times. The phone consistently loaded heavy apps and games quicker than the iPhone XS Max. In some cases, the difference was marginal but in others, there was a difference of 2-3 seconds.

The Galaxy S10+ ships with 8GB RAM while the iPhone XS Max comes with 4GB RAM. The additional RAM on the Galaxy S10+ helps it perform better in the multitasking department, though the iPhone XS Max also did reasonably well given the limited amount of RAM it has. However, if you are a heavy multitasker, the strong multitasking performance of the Galaxy S10+ should definitely tilt the balance in its favor.
