The @pwn20wnd team has dropped another beta of Unc0ver 3.0.0 which adds partial support for 4K devices like the iPhone XS and iPhone XR. This does not mean that you will be able to use Unc0ver to jailbreak your iPhone though.

For that, you will have to wait until at least another beta release of Unc0ver that will add full support for 4K devices. It is only after adding support for iPhone XS and iPhone XR that the pwn20wnd team will work on adding support for the 2018 iPad Pro as well. For now, the partial support for 4K devices means setting a nonce and disabling auto updates.

The full change-log of Unc0ver b37 and b38 is below:

  • Enable partial 4K (A7/A8) support on iOS 12 to allow setting a nonce and disabling auto updates
  • Update the APT lists cache file for repositories
  • Fix the v1ntex exploit
  • Fix a theoretical bug in determining the device support status
  • Fix a theoretical bug in the UI
  • Update the APT lists cache file for repositories

If you have not already jailbroken your iPhone or iPad, you can do so by following our guide on how to use Unc0ver to jailbreak iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2. After that, make sure to check out the list of the best iOS 12 jailbreak tweaks to add more features and functionality to your jailbroken iPhone.
