There have been a significant number of jailbreak tweak releases in recent memory that aim to redesign the Cydia app’s user interface to make it more aesthetically pleasing, and while many of them definitely seem like improvements, not all Cydia redesigns are created equally.

One of the latest Cydia redesign-centric tweaks to be released is ModernC by iOS developer DevelopApple, and at first glance, it looks particularly stunning.

As you’ll notice in the screenshot examples below, ModernC brings a modernized Cydia home page with App Store-style featured blocks and detailed cells depicting some of the hottest new jailbreak tweak releases:

If it wasn’t already evident, you’ll also notice that ModernC gives Cydia an updated splash screen.

Cydia app redesigns have been somewhat controversial given the fact that the developer is often responsible for keeping the home page updated with new and refreshing content day in and day out. Albeit a caveat, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Saurik made Cydia customizable for a reason, and tweaks like this are a subtle reminder of that fact.

If you’re interested in trying the ModernC Cydia app redesign for yourself, then you can download it for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repository. The tweak should work with all jailbroken iOS 10, 11, and 12 devices (and perhaps earlier versions).
