Just about a month after the 2nd generation AirPods first went on sale, Amazon has discounted them. AirPods are usually always in high demand and they are rarely ever discounted.

The discount is not that big. Apple has reduced the price of the 2nd gen AirPods with the regular charging case from $159.99 to $139.99 translating into a discount of $20. That’s not much by any means but when you factor in the high demand of the AirPods, this makes for a pretty good deal.

Amazon will likely run out of stocks of the new AirPods in a few hours so if this deal tempts you, make sure to pull the trigger as soon as possible. Sadly, there’s no deal on the 2nd gen AirPods and the wireless charging case bundle. Amazon continues to offer it for $199.

Compared to the first gen. AirPods, the newer model offers always-on Hey Siri detection, lower latency times, better connectivity experience across devices, and up to 50 percent longer battery life. Remember that if you order the AirPods 2 directly from Apple’s online store, you get the laser engraving option for free which is not available when you order from a third-party retailer.
