TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also provided some insight on what to expect from Apple’s 2019 iPad lineup refresh. He claims that Apple will be launching a 10.2-inch iPad and an iPad mini 5 alongside upgraded iPad Pros this year.

Apart from the bump in display size to 10.2-inch, the new 7th gen iPad will also feature smaller display bezels. And like the iPad mini 5, it will come with an upgraded processor for better performance. The upgrade to the latter is only going to focus on internal upgrades as Apple wants to keep its price in check. Apple is expected to launch these two new iPads in March. These tablets will be targeted at students and casual users who are looking for a cheap tablet for content consumption.

As for the refreshed iPad Pro, the report does not provide any details about them. However, we should see Apple launch them towards the end of this year just like it did last year with the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Given that the tablets received a major design upgrade last year itself, the upgrades this year will focus on faster internals and other such upgrades for improved performance.
