Following the public release of iOS 12.2, Apple has finally decided now is the time to update the Apple Watch as well.

On Wednesday, Apple officially released the latest update for the Apple Watch, bumping the version number up to watchOS 5.2. While the update is minor in scale in the grand scheme of things, watchOS 5.2 is not without its big new addition. That includes ECG support in the Apple Watch Series 4 for owners in Europe. The ECG feature initially launched in the United States when the Series 4 released, and it’s finally landing in Europe. Apple confirmed the feature is available in 19 countries, including Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and others. Irregular heart rhythm notifications are also available in Hong Kong.

watchOS 5.2 also includes support for Apple News+, which the company officially announced recently. The updated software also adds support for the second-generation AirPods.

To update to watchOS 5.2, owners must make sure that the smartwatch has at least 50 percent battery life, and that the device is attached to a charger. It must also be connected to the iPhone and within range.

The new software is available now.
