Apple today announced that WWDC 2019 will take place from June 3-7 in San Jose, California. For the third year in a row, the event will be hosted at the McEnery Convention Center.

WWDC 2019 will be used as a platform for Apple to unveil iOS 13, macOS 10.15, and the next major release of watchOS and tvOS. Most of the major announcements will happen during the opening keynote which is usually hosted by Tim Cook and other high-profile Apple executives.

With Apple adding Dark mode to macOS last year, it is widely expected that iOS 13 will finally bring dark mode to iPhones as well. The WWDC 19 itself possibly hints at a dark mode finally coming to iOS. The first beta of iOS 13 should also go live for developers soon after the opening WWDC 19 keynote, though the final release of the OS will only happen in September.

Apart from that, the next major version of iOS is expected to bring a redesigned home screen on iPads and focus on more such changes to make the iPad better suited for power users and help it become a more able PC replacement.

Since this is a developer-focused event, Apple will also host over 100 technical and design-focused sessions, hands-on labs, and more for developers to understand and build better apps.
