Right after the opening keynote of WWDC 2019, Apple released the first developer beta of iOS 13. Since it was the first beta build of iOS 13, it came with a number of bugs and stability issues. With Apple receiving a barrage of feedback from developers after releasing iOS 13 beta 1, many users are looking forward to the release of the second iOS 13 beta.

This because the second beta of iOS 13 should have considerably fewer bugs and issues, though it is not going to be perfect by all means. Plus, Apple will refine some of the new features in iOS 13 in the next beta build as well.

iOS 13 Beta 2 Release Date

So, when is Apple expected to release iOS 13 beta 2? Well, going by Apple’s usual beta release timeframe, iOS 13 beta 2 should drop on June 18. Apple should also release iPadOS 13 beta 2 on the same day to developers.

Apple tends to release a new beta build every 15 days. Given that the first beta of iOS 13 was released on June 3, it makes sense that the company releases the next beta build on June 18.

iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 Public Beta Release Date

Apple has made it very difficult to install the developer beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 for the general public. One needs to download the entire iOS 13 beta 1 IPSW file and then use iTunes to flash it on their device. This is a tedious process that has likely led many advanced users to wait for the public release instead of flashing the developer beta.

During the WWDC 2019 keynote, Apple revealed that the public beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 will be available in July. There was no exact timeframe given by the company. However, assuming the second developer beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 drops on June 18, the third beta should release on July 2. We should then see Apple release the first public beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 later in the week. And unlike the developer beta, the public release will be available as an OTA update meaning it would be very easy to install.
