If you have a lot of apps on your Home screen that you don’t use as often as others, then you aren’t alone. The most common solution to this matter is to cram those apps into a folder; but if you’re OCD like I am, then you may not want to look at an unwanted folder icon either.

Here to help with this dilemma is a newly-released jailbreak tweak called HideYourApps by iOS developer Menushka Weeratunga. With this tweak, you can hide specified apps from your Home screen, eliminating the need to make an unwanted folder to house them.

As you’ll see the screenshot examples above, HideYourApps adds a preference pane to the Settings app where you can choose which apps will be hidden. After you turn them on, they will no longer appear on the Home screen until they’re turned off again or the tweak is uninstalled.

Notably, while the apps won’t appear on your Home screen anymore, they are still launchable via Siri and searchable via Spotlight. That said, hiding apps doesn’t necessarily make them inaccessible, it just prevents apps you don’t use very often from accumulating on the Home screen.

HideYourApps is only compatible with jailbroken iOS 12 devices, and if you’re onboard with the idea, then you can download the tweak for free from Menushka’s repository in Cydia or Sileo. If you aren’t already using this repository, then you can add it with the following URL:
