PSA: App Store, Mac App Store, and iTunes Store Hit With Outage

A lot of Apple’s services are currently running just fine. Like Apple Music, Apple Pay, and the other major tentpole iCloud elements. However, if you have been running into issues buying digital goods from Apple’s various app stores, you aren’t the only one.

Apple has updated its official system status page to reflect that a trio of app stores are currently facing an outage. Specifically, the App Store, Mac App Store, and Apple’s iTunes Store are all flagged as suffering issues. According to Apple the outage began at 2:40 AM and, at the time of publication, is still ongoing.

Apple’s official system status page says:

“Customers may be unable to make purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store, Apple Books, or Mac App Store.”

The system status page was last updated at 10:44 AM MDT, and the outage is still running. As is par for the course, Apple is not saying when the outage will be fixed. And keep in mind that this is an issue for “some users”, so if you’re not running into the problem that would be why.

Are you experiencing any issues with Apple’s digital storefronts?
