Powerbeats Pro Pre-Orders Go Live on May 3, Launches May 10

Last month, Apple and Beats unveiled the Powerbeats Pro but did not provide any information about its availability. Today, more details about the Powerbeats Pro has been detailed. The wireless earbuds will go up for pre-order this Friday i.e. on May 3 in the United States and Canada.

It can be pre-ordered from Apple.com. This will be followed by in-store availability from May 10 (i.e. next Friday). The wireless earbuds are priced at $249.95. This makes them notably more expensive than the 2nd gen AirPods but they pack many additional features as well. This includes longer battery life, a better design, and sweat resistance.

Like the 2nd gen AirPods, the Powerbeats Pro feature Apple’s new H1 wireless chip which offers lower latency and better battery life. In many ways, the Powerbeats Pro is superior to the 2nd gen AirPods. Not only does it offer better sound quality, but it also has a better fit and has sweat-resistance which many users had hoped the AirPods 2 would pack. The only thing the Powerbeats Pro lack is support for wireless charging. There’s no optional wireless charging case here, though given the excellent battery life, I doubt many users are going to complain about it.
