Pixelmator, everyone’s favorite Photoshop alternative, has finally been updated to support the newest lineup of iPad Pros and Apple Pencil 2.

The update, version 2.4.4, also brings a whole host of bug fixes and improvements.

Pixelmator is one of our favorite apps on iOS. It’s considerably more affordable than Photoshop, but for on-the-go photo editing, drawing, and graphic design, it’s perfect. It’s feature-packed and powerful, and it keeps getting better.

Pixelmator now plays nicely with 2018 iPad Pros

Pixelmator’s latest release finally brings optimizations for the 2018 iPad Pro lineup, which means it’ll look and work better than ever on your stunning edge-to-edge Retina display. It also adds support for Apple Pencil 2 and its awesome double-tap gesture.

A bunch of big bugs have been squashed, too.

The noise, hue, and miniaturize, effects in the Photos extension are no longer broken, and deselecting a layer after moving a selection inside the Pixelmator app now works as intended. There’s also a fix for the canvas being incorrectly centered.
