Pandora Premium Launches Discounted Pricing for Students and Members of the Military
Despite the fact it’s been reported that Apple Music has surpassed Spotify in subscriber count in the United States. And despite the fact that Spotify just crossed 100 million subscribers globally. There is still room for competition. Which is where one of the other most popular services comes in. Pandora has just announced two new pricing options, offering discounts for select individuals.
Pandora has officially announced student and military pricing. This means those who qualify can take advantage of the premium features at a discount. Specifically, students can pay only $4.99 per month, down from the standard $9.99 per month cost. Here are the premium features baked into the Pandora Premium offering:
- Listening with NO ads
- Search and play any song, artist, album, or podcast
- Create and share playlists
- Personalized playlists and stations
- Unlimited Skips
- Unlimited offline listening
- Higher-quality audio
- Other exclusive Premium features
(Pandora also recently announced a family plan, priced at $14.99 per month for up to six accounts.)
Meanwhile, those in the military (this is good for active duty, reservists, retirees, veterans, and military family) pay only $7.99 per month for those premium features.
Earlier this year, Pandora made some impressive changes to the way it differentiates itself from the competition. Namely, Pandora introduced new ways to customize the stations people listen to. And before that, the streaming service introduced interludes from musical artists, giving a little insight from artists about the creation of their music.
The new pricing options are now available.
