While the Apple Watch records a huge amount of heart rate readings, it might be difficult to make sense of all that information. But apps like Heart Analyzer can do a great job of making sense of the data.
More Apple Watch Features
And the app has just been updated with a number of additional features for the Apple Watch.
The biggest addition is the ability to capture a live heart rate reading when opening the app. You can toggle the feature on and off by a Force Touch when using the app.
You can also view recent workouts on the watch and view the time, type of workout, and heart rate graph.
All of the heart rate graphs in the watch now also feature hourly vertical gridlines for better clarity on the smaller screen.
Anyone with a Series 4 Apple Watch with watchOS 5.1.2 or later can also view captured ECG information. On the Infograph Modular watch face, you can select view a complication with a heart rate data graph.
Heart Analyzer is designed for the iPhone. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
There are three in-app purchases available, all for $1.99 each. One provides extended heart rate data while another shows deeper analytics of the data. The third provides additional app customization options.
