Former Apple Music Subscribers Being Offered Three-Month Trial Again Via Push Notification

Apple is sending out push notifications to former Apple Music subscribers to try out the music service again. It is offering former Apple Music subscribers a free three-month trial again.

Apple is not sending out the same push notification to all Apple Music subscribers. Instead, it is sending out different push notifications to different set of users.

This is not the first time that Apple is offering former Apple Music subscribers a free trial again. That was in April last year and back then, Apple was only offering a free trial for a month. This time around though, it is offering three months of free Apple Music subscription. While Apple does not allow third-party apps to send promotional apps, it has used the same technique to send out promotional messages to iPhone users to upgrade to the iPhone XR.

Apple is likely trying to tempt former Apple Music subscribers with this move and hoping they will like the service more this time around to pay for it. With iPhone sales slowing, the company is hoping to increase its Apple Music subscribers base count as a way to boost the revenue from its already booming and fast growing Services sector.
