When you plug your iOS device into a power source or set it on a Qi-enabled wireless charger, be it an iPhone or and iPad, you’ll usually hear a charging chime so long as the device isn’t configured to be in silent mode.
Apple doesn’t provide you with a way to change your handset’s charging chime out of the box, but a new jailbreak tweak called Bezon by iOS developer DevelopApple can help in this department.
After you install Bezon, you’ll find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where you can configure the tweak to your liking:
Here, you can:
- Enable or disable Bezon on demand
- Enable or disable vibration when you plug your handset into a power source
- Choose the charging sound you want to use:
- Mario
- Apple Watch Notification
- Camera Flash
- Cancel
- Charging Activated
- Computer USB
- Google Event
- iOS Popcorn
- Magic Tone
- Notification
- Special SMS Tone
- Wireless Charging
- And more…
The developer provides a Respring button at the bottom of the preference pane, and you’d do good to use it after making changes to the tweak’s options so that they’re saved to your device.
If you’re interested in helping your handset stand out from the crowd, then you can download and install Bezon for $0.99 from the BigBoss repository in Cydia. Bezon is compatible with all jailbroken iOS 11 and 12 devices.
