Apple’s annual Back to School promotion went live earlier today in Japan, where the Cupertino technology giant is treating customers to free gift cards with select Mac and iPad Pro models.
According to the promotion’s page, eligible students and education customers will get a free Apple Store gift card valued up to ¥18,000 (about $160) with the purchase of a qualifying Mac, or a ¥12,000 gift card (about $110) if they pick up a qualifying iPad Pro model.
This deal is valid from February 6 through March 3, 2019.
In addition, eligible students are treated to a cool 20 percent discount on the AppleCare+ coverage plans for qualifying Mac and iPad Pro models, according to webpage translation by Japanese blog Mac Otakara.
The company tends to localize these promotions to each major market. In the US and Europe, for example, its Back to School deals for 2017 and 2018 offered a pair of free Beats headphones with the purchase of a qualifying Mac or iPad Pro for college.
