Earlier this week, it was reported that Apple has quietly started selling a new 23.7-inch LG UltraFine 4K monitor through its retail store. There was no announcement from the company about this new monitor which replaced the previous 21.5-inch 4K UltraFine display from LG. Now, Apple has started selling the monitor through its online store in the United States as well.

The new 23.7-inch  4K UltraFine monitor from LG carries the same price tag as the 21.5-inch UltraFine display it is replacing — $700. It has the same external design as well with minimal bezels and a VESA stand. However, it has a slightly bigger 23.7-inch display area and a lower 3840 x 2160 resolution. The monitor also has two Thunderbolt 3 ports along with 3 USB-C ports. Other specs of the monitor include P3 wide color gamut support, 500 nits of brightness, built-in stereo speakers, and 85W Power Delivery support.

Like the previous UltraFine monitors from LG, one can connect their MacBook to the new monitor over USB-C and the monitor will charge their laptop — at up to 85W — all over a single Thunderbolt cable. Apart from MacBook Pro, the new UltraFine monitor is also compatible with the 2018 iPad Pro. LG is also bundling a 2m Thunderbolt and 1.5m USB-C cable so customers won’t have to go looking for a cable after buying the monitor.
