Downgrade iOS Firmware

Two weeks after releasing iOS 12.1.3, Apple has stopped signing iOS 12.1.1 and iOS 12.1.2. This means that it is no longer possible for one to downgrade their iPhone back to iOS 12.1.1 – iOS 12.1.2 from iOS 12.1.3 if one has not saved the necessary SHSH blobs.

iOS 12.1.3 fixes some minor bugs and does not bring anything new to the table. Normal iPhone users will not be looking to downgrade their device back to iOS 12.1.1 – iOS 12.1.2. However, anyone interested in jailbreaking their iPhone or iPad running iOS 12 was recommended to downgrade back to iOS 12.1.1 – iOS 12.1.2 over the last two weeks.

The release of an iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 jailbreak is around the corner, with an SSH-based developer jailbreak already being released for the OS.

Multiple iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 exploits have been discovered in the last week or so which has raised hopes of a possible iOS 12 jailbreak. If you did not pay heed to repeated notices from various developers about downgrading your iPhone or iPad back to iOS 12.1.1 – iOS 12.1.2 for jailbreaking purposes, well there’s no much that you can do now.

All the iOS 12 exploits discovered so far are only compatible with iOS 12.1.2 and lower. You will now need to sit back and wait until another exploit is discovered in iOS 12 that works with iOS 12.1.3 and greater.
