Apple is moving right along with the latest developer betas for macOS Mojave, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12.
Apple on Tuesday officially seeded the latest betas to developers for the company’s popular operating systems. macOS Mojave 10.14.6 is now at its second developer beta, while watchOS 5.3 and tvOS 12.4 are both on their third developers. In each case, the new software is minor in scale, and none of them have introduced any major new features to the mix in the previous betas.
That will likely be the case again with these latest developer betas. However, if it is discovered that Apple has included new features, we will update this post accordingly. And if you’re trying out the latest betas and you discover anything new, let us know in the comments below.
To update to the latest macOS Mojave beta, registered developers simply need to open the System Preferences app –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.
To update to the latest beta of tvOS 12.4, developers simply need to download the new software on their fourth- or fifth-generation set-top box via a profile installed through Xcode.
Next, to update the latest beta for watchOS 5.3, the Apple Watch must have at least 50% battery life, be connected to the charger, and also be connected and within range of the iPhone. With those requirements met, open the Watch app, select General –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.
The latest developer betas are available now. And, looking ahead, Apple did just announce the newest versions of macOS, watchOS, and tvOS at the latest WWDC in early June. In each case, Apple is adding a variety of new features, like multi-user support for the Apple TV.
Do you ever try out beta software on your personal device? Or do you wait for any and all new features until the public launch of the software arrives?
