iPhone Xs Max back

Apple today released a hilarious new ”Bokeh’d” add highlighting the Depth Control effect on the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. Apple introduced Depth Control on its 2018 iPhones which allows users to control the background blur in their Portrait photos.

The ad shows two mothers going through their photos, when one of them asks if they have bokeh’d their child in one of the photos? To this, the second mother says that it was accidental and that she can un-bokeh the photo and bring the child back in focus.

Depth Control on iPhone XS and iPhone XR lets you adjust the bokeh effect on backgrounds before or after you shoot. So you can turn a cute portrait of two kids into a stunning portrait of one kid.

Apple rarely every releases such hilarious ads for its products. Apart from changing the bokeh blur after taking a photo, iPhone XS and iPhone XR owners can also change the background blur intensity before clicking a photo.

While not available on older iPhones like the iPhone X, iPhone 8, one can use a third-party camera app like Halide to get the same Depth Control feature on them.
