Apple Pro Display XDR Is a Monstrous 6K Monitor with Prices Starting at $5000

Apple has outdone itself with the new Apple Pro Display XDR. The latest display from Apple boasts of a 6K Retina Display. The Apple Pro Display XDR features the same grille on the back as the Mac Pro. Also present are four Thunderbolt 3 ports at the back. The 32-inch display offers a staggering 6015 x 2284 resolution, which Apple has already branded as 6K!

Apple has achieved true HDR by modulating each LED with the help of an array of custom lenses and reflectors. Furthermore, LED in the backlight is calibrated from the factory. The Apple Pro Display XDR also comes with an impressive thermal management unit. The rear lattice pattern is carved to act as a heat sink and keep the display cool.

The Apple Pro Display XDR is capable of 1000 nits of brightness with a peak of 1600 nit. As far as the contrast ratio is concerned, the display offers 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. According to Apple, the latest Mac Pro can handle up to six Apple Pro Displays simultaneously!

The edge-to-edge glass and narrow 9mm bezels add a much-needed style quotient to the Apple Pro Display XDR. The Pro Stand comes equipped with a carefully engineered arm. Meanwhile, the arm counterbalances display in such a way that it feels weightless and easy to adjust. That’s not all, you can also rotate the Pro display and use it in portrait mode, a feature that will come in handy for editing photos, designing a web page and writing code. You can also swap the Pro Stand for a VESA mount.

Apple Pro Display XDR is prices start at $4,999. The Pro Stand will cost an extra $999 while the VESA Mount Adapter is priced at $199. All the Pro Display XDR variants will go on sale in the fall.
