Apple seems to be aggressively expanding Apple Pay in Europe. After launching Apple Pay in Austria and teasing its imminent launch in the Netherlands, Monese — a European mobile banking service — has confirmed that Apple Pay will soon be available in 15+ European countries.

Back in March this year, the Erste Bank in Austria had confirmed that Apple Pay would launch in Austria, Estonia, Greece, Portugal, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Today’s tweet from Monese adds a few more European regions to the list where Apple Pay will make its debut soon.

There’s no word on when Apple Pay will actually launch in the above regions but given the tweet, we should see Apple talk more about it at WWDC 2019 next month. Once Apple Pay is fully rolled out in these regions, it would be available across almost the entirety of Europe. That should definitely help in increasing the adoption of Apple Pay among EU iPhone users.
