Apple’s expanded availability of transit directions on its mapping service in many US states and international markets while bringing indoor maps to additional shopping malls and airports.

Transit directions

While the markets listed below have had transit information for a few weeks, the company’s iOS Feature Availability webpage was updated this morning to reflect the latest additions.

Transit directions now encompass the entirety of these US states:

  • Alaska
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Indiana
  • Illinois
  • Kentucky
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • New Jersey
  • North Dakota
  • New York
  • Oklahoma
  • Rhode Island
  • South Dakota
  • Texas

In January, Apple also rolled out the transit directions feature in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland whilst expanding the feature’s coverage to all of Australia.

Indoor maps are now available for the following airports:

  • Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
  • Newcastle International Airport (NCL)
  • Milano Linate Airport (LIN)

Indoor maps coverage now includes shopping malls in the following cities:
