Aetna Launches ‘Attain’ Health Program ‘Designed in Collaboration With Apple’

Back in January of this year, Aetna officially announced a new health program called “Attain”. This is directly designed in collaboration with Apple, and, with 24 months of work, customers can get a free Apple Watch out of the deal.

Attain is meant to serve as a health program for individuals, making sure they keep to their goals, reach new ones, and stay healthy along the way. There will be customizable weekly and daily goals. The program will also track nutritional aspects, as well as sleep. Apple Watch owners can also integrate yoga and meditation, too.

If you don’t already own an Apple Watch, but are an Aetna customer, you can earn a free smartwatch over the course of 24 months. Attain has a points system in place, and meeting goals will net an individual more points. Earn enough and you can translate those to real world products. Aetna says after 24 months you can earn enough points to pick up a free base model of the Apple Watch.

If you want a higher-end model of the Apple Watch, you’ll just need to fork over a little cash up front.

  • Rewards: Earn points for putting in the effort. Earn more for hitting your goals.* Then, use your points to earn a new Apple Watch or gift cards from popular retailers.
  • Activity: Get your body moving, get your heart pumping and earn points for hitting daily and weekly goals.*
  • Nutrition: No fad diets here. Just tips, tools and points for making healthier and more mindful choices.
  • Sleep: Build a better sleep routine by adopting healthy habits, like powering off screens and setting a regular bedtime.”

If a free Apple Watch isn’t the goal, you can also use your points to get gift cards to places like CVS, Best Buy, Target, and other retailers.

Aetna says it will continue to work with Apple to improve the health program over time. You can learn more through the Aetna source link below. And a link to download the Attain app is below.
