We all love to use emojis. Happy faces in our emails, hearts in our text messages, and even checkmarks in our notes; there’s an emoji for everything, everywhere. But it’s getting to the point that there are too many emojis to pick from and the list keeps growing. You look for one and have to sift through hundreds of others. What if there was a way to hide those emojis that you never, ever use?
Enter Smojis, a cool app that lets you hide single emojis or complete categories. So, if you never use flags or objects, hide them. If you only use specific smileys, hide the others. It’s all up to you! So, here’s how to hide the emojis you never use with Smojis.
Get the Smojis app
Smojis – The Emoji Keyboard is available on the App Store for $0.99 and designed for iPhone. So, for a buck, you can take your emoji usage up a notch, right?
Set up Smojis
After you download Smojis, you need to give it access. If
you open the app right away, you’ll be prompted with what to do. But if not,
just head to Settings > Smojis > Keyboards and enable it.
Hide those emojis with Smojis
Open Smojis, tap Hide
categories or single emojis, and you’ll see the Standard Categories listed.
Select one and then move the slider at the top to the off position if you want
to hide the category completely.
If you’d rather hide single emojis within a category, just
tap them and they’ll be dimmed on that screen.
Now when you open your keyboard and go to the emojis, you may
need to tap the globe to see the Smojis emojis. And, you will only see those
that you want.
Other Smojis features
The app offers some extra features in its settings:
- Show categories for recently used and hidden.
- Show new emojis by default.
- Choose a default skin color.
- Use a dark or light theme.
Wrapping it up
It would be great if your iPhone keyboard offered this type of feature for hiding emojis by default. But until it does, you can use Smojis. Are you going to check it out? Let us know!
