Netflix today updated its video-streaming app for iPhone and iPad app with the ability to stream television shows and movies on your iPad, iPhone, Mac and Apple TV having to upgrade to a more expensive tier.
Netflix for iOS version 11.20.2 permits customers to stream on their phone tablet, laptop and television without paying more.
Here’s the official changelog:
Want to watch Netflix on your phone while dad watches on the TV and grandma watches on her tablet? Live the dream. Just make sure you have the latest update. And in this release, we’ve fixed bugs and made performance improvements. Just for you.
So now even if you have the entry-level Netflix subscription you’ll be able to stream your favorite shows on multiple device types at once. Every device on which you watch Netflix is associated with your account.
Once you have an active Netflix membership, you can have up to six registered devices simultaneously. Previously, you could stream up to two videos at the same time.
With today’s update, you can stream Netflix on four devices at any one time without paying more to upgrade to four simultaneous streams from the Your Account page.
Netflix for iOS is available free on App Store.
