Apple on Tuesday released the third betas of iOS 12.3, tvOS 12.3 and macOS 10.14.5 to the public. Those who are registered with Apple’s public testing program can install the new software via each platform’s respective OTA mechanism.
As we’ve mentioned in previous beta posts, iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3 both include Apple’s new TV app. The new app, unveiled at last month’s media event, features a more streamlined user interface and supports more streaming services.
The betas also bring about support for Channels, an a la carte offering that lets you pay for individual streaming apps without the need for a cable/satellite subscription. Bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements round out the updates.
For the most part, public betas are identical to the matching developer ones. Nevertheless, we’re installing today’s releases and will report back with any major changes. And if you happen to spot something we missed, tell us about it in the comments.
