While most people are familiar with how to change settings like the ringtone on iPhone, there are plenty of those out there new to iPhone who don’t. So, this short tutorial is for users who just started using iPhone and need a little extra help.
Here’s how to change your iPhone ringtone to something that fits you.
Change your iPhone ringtone
Your iPhone comes with many built-in ringtones for you to pick from, so open your Settings and then follow these steps.
1) On the Settings screen, select Sounds & Haptics.
2) Tap Ringtone under Sounds and Vibration Patterns.
3) As you tap each option, you can hear what it sounds like. You’ll also notice at the bottom of the Ringtones list and option for Classic. If you tap this, you’ll see even more ringtone options.
4) When you find one you like, just select it. You can then use the arrow on the top left to go back.
If you don’t really like any of the ringtones available on iPhone, you can head to the Tone Store to purchase one if you like.
At the top of the Ringtone page with your list of options, you’ll see Tone Store. Tap this and you’ll be taken to the store where you can browse, purchase, and download additional ringtones.
Change your iPhone text tone
You’ll notice that when you’re on the Sounds & Haptics screen in your settings, that you can also change your Text Tone. This setting is right under Ringtone.
Tap it and you’ll have another group of tones to pick from as well as the link to the Tone Store if you prefer to purchase one.
Wrapping it up
Having a ringtone, and even a text tone, that you like is important because you’re going to be hearing it all the time. So, take a few minutes, browse the tones, and pick one that suits your mood or taste.
