In this week’s edition of our Apps of the Week roundup, we have a beautiful new digital notebook, a unique take on a reminder app and an at-home personal trainer. And as always, we’ve selected two great new games for you to check out.
Flow by Moleskin
The impressive team over at Moleskin has seemingly done it again. Flow is an all-new way to create simple drawings, complex works of art and beautiful notes on your iOS device. Features include infinite width documents, dark and light paper, customizable drawing tools and several exporting options. The app does require a monthly subscription, which is a bummer, but at least there’s a free trial for you to test if it’s worth it.
The Last Time
Here is an interesting take on the reminder/todo app. As the name suggests, The Last Time helps you remember the last time you did something. For instance, when was the last time you changed your toothbrush? What about water the plants? Went to the dentist? Called a friend or family member? This app helps you jot these things down quickly using icons and color, so you never have to ask: when was the last time? again.
Fitness Lab
If you’d like to start a new fitness journey but don’t have much spare time or access to gym equipment, you may want to check out Fitness Lab. The app offers effective, at-home, bodyweight exercises with training plans for everyone from beginners to advanced users. Features include video demos by professional trainers, tailored nutrition plans and built-in tracker. I know there are a ton of these types of apps out there but with the demos and no IAPs, this one is worth checking out.
Game of Gods
In Game of Gods, you play as—you guessed it—a powerful god. You must choose whether to be good or evil as you unleash devastating magic against the enemy. Features include drag and drop spells, single and multiplayer game modes, customizable armor and weaponry, over-the-top effects and much more.
Brick Away
If you’re more in the mood for a quick-twitch arcade game, check out Brick Away. This addictive, one-touch title reminds a lot of the classic Brick Breaker, as you must bust up a wall of bricks before they reach the red line. Features include up to 30 high-speed, ricocheting balls, 200 levels of play with 3 different types of difficulty available for each one, and more.
