The @Pwn20wnd team is out with a new release of Unc0ver jailbreak with some bug fixes. The last update to Unc0ver jailbreak was a big one that introduced massive performance and stability improvements. In comparison, this update only aims at fixing some bugs.

Below is the official change-log of Unc0ver 3.1.3:

  • Fix a bug in updating the status

  • Fix a logic bug in remounting the root filesystem

  • Make machswap and machswap2 not depend on stealing kernel’s credentials to fix a possible reliability issue

  • Update kernel patches to use a safer allocation method

  • Fix missing information in the jailbreak completed notice

  • Fix false information in the jailbreak completed notice

The @pwn20wnd team wanted to debut a new UI for their app with this update. However, the community did not like the redesigned UI and so the team decided to delay the rollout of the new UI.

Compared to Chimera jailbreak, Unc0ver jailbreak still lacks support for A12-A12X Bionic devices like the iPhone XS and 2018 iPad Pro series. It does support all other iPhones and iPads running iOS 11 – iOS 12.1.2. Unc0ver does ship with Cydia as its default package manager while Chimera only ships and works with Sileo.

If you are already running the last stable release of Unc0ver 3.1.0 on your iPhone or iPad, you should upgrade to the latest release for the stability improvements that it offers. You can update to the latest release of Unc0ver jailbreak by updating the app through Impactor or Reprovision and then re-jailbreaking your device.
