Apple Will Launch AirPods Wireless Charging Case Soon; AirPods 2 with New Colors in Fall
Reliable leaker @Onleaks claims that Apple will be launching new Qi-compatible case for the AirPods soon. However, the new case will ship with existing AirPods itself and won’t launch alongside the AirPods 2 as claimed in other leaks.
Instead, Apple plans on shipping the new wireless charging compatible case for the AirPods with the existing model itself. As for AirPods 2, the reliable leaker says that Apple will launch it this fall in new colors. He does not mention anything about the features it will pack, though a delayed release means that the wireless earbuds will be a major upgrade over the existing model.
Some #AirPods2 details I got from a new and yet unconfirmed but seemingly reliable source. Thus, I can’t vouch these at 100%…

Over the last few days, we have heard quite a bit of contradictory reports about AirPods 2. The first sketchy rumor claimed that AirPods 2 will come with new health sensors for heart rate tracking and a new coating for improved grip. Another leak from earlier today claimed that AirPods 2 will launch on March 29 after initially being unveiled in the second half of March. That report claimed the wireless earbuds would launch with a new W2 wireless chip and ‘Hey Siri’ feature.
To me, it looks like Apple will launch AirPods with a new wireless charging case and ‘Hey Siri’ functionality in March. This will be followed by AirPods 2 launching in fall this year with an improved design, possibly new health sensors, and new colors. That would also help justify the rumored $199 price tag of the device. What do you think?
