Apple Will Expand ‘Today at Apple’ Sessions to the Fundació Joan Miró Museum in Spain

The “Today at Apple” sessions are ridiculously popular events at Apple retail stores, and now the company is expanding the effort beyond its own storefronts. A new report reveals that Apple will host the events over the course of several weeks at a popular cultural spot in Barcelona, Spain.
Today at Apple will host special events at the Fundació Joan Miró Museum in Barcelona beginning Saturday, April 27. The events will take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and will run for eight weeks in total.
“Apple’s program of free creative and educational sessions has traditionally been held only in Apple retail stores themselves. While some activities like Photo Walks venture out into the surrounding community, sessions always begin and end in each store’s Forum. By collaborating with the Fundació Joan Miró, Apple is pushing Today at Apple beyond the store altogether and into a space filled with creative inspiration.”
There will be Art Walks and Photo Walks, and a Coding Lab for Kids event with the Sphero Robot. The report states that the events will be scheduled for rooms like the library, other exhibition rooms, and even on the museum’s rooftop terrace. You will need to head through the foundation’s website below to reserve a spot for one of the events. Entry is free, though.
Our Take
This is an exciting way to branch out from the Apple Stores, and it will be interesting to see if Apple sees this type of support from other museums, or other sites, across the globe.
