If you have been in the market for a new computer, and if the Mac mini or MacBook Air from 2018 have been on your radar, now might be a good time to snatch one up.
As was first spotted by MacRumors on Friday, Apple is now selling the refurbished 2018 Mac mini and 2018 MacBook Air in its online storefront. At the time of publication the two options are only available to buy in the United Kingdom. However, Apple has thrown up the official listing for the 2018 MacBook Air, refurbished, in the United States — customers just can’t buy one, yet.
The Mac mini is priced at £679 for the base model, which is a savings of £120. Meanwhile, the base model refurbished 2018 MacBook Air is going for £1,019, a savings of £180 from the standard retail price. Meanwhile, in the United States, Apple has the refurbished MacBook Air priced at $1,019.00. That model is currently listed out of stock, but that should change soon enough.
As usual, here’s the official word from Apple regarding refurbished products, in this case Macs:
All refurbished Mac models are backed by a one-year warranty, have free delivery and returns, and also include:
Full functional testing, genuine Apple part replacements (if necessary) and a thorough cleaning The original Operating System or a more recent version All refurbished devices are repackaged in a brand-new box with all accessories and cables
Even though the MacBook Air from 2018 in its refurbished state isn’t quite available to buy in the U.S., that should change sooner rather than later. And it seems likely that the Mac mini will become available in that region in short order as well.
Do you plan on taking advantage of these deals? Have you ever picked up a refurbished product from Apple before?
