Apple has already announced that this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference is scheduled to start on Monday, June 3 and run until Friday, June 7. Apple will be covering a lot of developer-focused material over the course of the week, but the keynote on day one will be what garners the majority of the attention.

And now Apple is confirming that the keynote will take place on Monday, June 3, at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET. Apple’s upcoming WWDC will be taking place in San Jose, California, at the McEnery Convention Center. As is par for the course, Apple has not come out and teased anything that will be announced at the keynote, but this year suggests a bigger focus on software.

(Apple has a unique art style for this year’s WWDC, and we’ve compiled wallpapers inspired by the event.)

Up to this point, the rumor mill has shed some light on what we might expect from some of Apple’s biggest operating systems. We’ve heard that macOS 10.15 will allow for native support for turning the iPad into an external display when connected with a cable. In addition to that, the next version of macOS is said to be gaining standalone apps for Music and others.

Meanwhile, iOS 13 will reportedly give Siri new abilities like more control with search, media playback, and more. watchOS 6 will be getting new features as well.

Apple inviting the press to the keynote speech is just standard operating procedure at this point. But it does at least give us a confirmation of when the event will take place. It’s more than likely that Apple will be live streaming the keynote, so even if you can’t make it to the event itself you can watch as executives announce the newest features coming to the Apple platforms.

If Apple does announce some new hardware at this year’s WWDC, what are you hoping to see? More information on that modular Mac Pro?
