Adobe Accepting Photoshop for iPad Beta Testing Applications
Last year, Adobe announced that it would be releasing the full version of Photoshop to the iPad in 2019. Now, the company is sending out emails to Creative Cloud subscribers informing them that they can sign up to beta test Photoshop CC for iPad.
Interested users are required to fill a Google Form after which if their application is approved, they will receive an email from Adobe as to how to try out iPad for Photoshop.
While Adobe already offers Photoshop on the iOS App Store, it is a cut down version of the desktop app which lacks many of the advanced features. The company demonstrated a full-fledged version of the app back at its MAX conference last year. In the demo, Adobe showed how it was able to edit and manipulate a multi-layer PSD file without any performance hiccups on an iPad Pro.
Whenever the iPad version lands, it will sync all changes with Creative Cloud. It goes without saying that Adobe will offer the app as a part of its Creative Cloud subscription rather than letting users make a one-time purchase.
Adobe has already revealed that the first version of Photoshop for iPad will not have the same set of features as its desktop counterpart. Instead, Adobe will keep adding new features to it with regular updates. By doing this, the company is able to ensure that it is able to bring Photoshop to the iPad for its customers as soon as possible.
Are you excited about Photoshop coming to the iPad? Or you do think the existing suite of image editing apps you use are more than powerful enough to get the job done? Drop a comment and let us know!
