Valve’s Steam Link App Back on the App Store after Being Rejected Last Year

After rejecting Valve’s Steam Link app from the App Store last year citing “business conflicts,” Apple has finally allowed it back on the App Store. With the app, you can stream and play Steam games on your iPhone or iPad.
There are certain requirements for using the Steam Link app. First, you need to pair an MFi or Steam controller to your iPhone or iPad. After that, you can stream Steam games on your iPhone or iPad from your PC but all the devices need to be on the same local network. For optimum performance, it is strongly recommended that you connect your iOS device to a 5GHz network.
The Steam Link app brings desktop gaming to your iPhone or iPad. Just pair an MFI or Steam controller to your device, connect to a computer running Steam on the same local network, and start playing your existing Steam games.
When Apple pulled the Steam Link app last year, Phill Schiller replied to a customer email detailing why it was pulled from the App Store. He had revealed that the Steam Link app was violating a number of App Store guidelines. The executive did say that Apple was working with Valve to bring Steam Link to iOS. It looks like after a year, both companies have finally sorted all the issues which paved the way for Steam Link to make its way back to the App Store.
If you have a vast library of games on Steam, you can finally get around to playing it from the comfort of your couch. Are you excited about Steam Link coming to iOS?
