Apple Seeds iOS 12.4 Beta 1 to Developers
Following the launch of iOS 12.3 to the public, Apple is moving ahead with a new beta for the next update.
Apple on Wednesday officially seeded the first developer beta of iOS 12.4. As is par for the course with pre-release software, this is designed for developers and not the public. That means there may be bugs and other issues with the software. At the time of publication it is not known what is new with the software, but it’s likely that this will be a minor update.
To update, developers simply need to head into Settings –> General –> Software Update. The new beta software can only be installed on a registered device. It is likely that Apple will also seed a corresponding public beta of iOS 12.4 soon.
In the previous iOS 12.3, Apple introduced the new, revamped TV app. This includes a new look to the service, but also the new “Channels” feature. With Channels, TV app users can quickly and easily subscribe to third-party premium services, like HBO and Showtime. Users will then be able to watch that content directly through the app, rather than jump from one app to another.
If there are any additional discoveries made with iOS 12.4’s first developer beta, we will update this post accordingly.
