Unlike some of the earliest cell phones that made it to the public market, the iPhone can do so much more than just make and receive phone calls. With that in mind, the native Phone app is often overlooked in regards to personal customization and features.

To those who feel the same way, a new free jailbreak tweak called NPF by iOS developer Easy-Z brings at least some form of customization to the iPhone’s Phone app. With it, you’ll be able to customize the shape and size of the keypad buttons to give them a new look and feel, as shown above.

According to Easy-Z, NPF is a complete rewrite of a popular jailbreak called Callor, although it works with all of Apple’s latest jailbreakable operating systems.

Once installed, NPF adds a preference pane to the Settings app where you can fine-tune your adjustments until content:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle the tweak on or off on demand
  • Adjust the button radius with a slider bar
  • Adjust the button width with a slider bar
  • Adjust the button height with a slider bar
  • Reset all settings to their defaults

Respringing your device isn’t necessary to save the changes you make, but you are advised to force-quit the Phone app from your App Switcher and restart it to ensure that any changes you make take effect.

NPF is a neat, albeit lightweight jailbreak tweak that can transform the look of your iPhone’s native Phone all in a variety of ways.
