Beats by Dre and Sacai Launch Beaded BeatsX Headphones

It has been more than four years since Apple acquired Beats by Dre, but the latter’s brand is still going strong.
And now Beats has a new partnership. As was first spotted by WatchGeneration, Beats by Dre has partnered up with the Japanese luxury fashion brand Sacai to launch new headphones. Specifically, these are beaded BeatsX headphones, and they definitely stand out. The cables are beaded, and they can be customized to fit each owner’s preference.
However, there is a catch. These beaded BeatsX headphones won’t be going out to the general public via Apple’s website, or even Sacai’s. Instead, the companies are planning on launching a dedicated pop-up store in Paris, France, on Monday, March 4. You can check out a behind-the-scenes video of the new beaded BeatsX headphones just below.
Here’s the description:
“Beats by Dr. Dre and sacai have joined together to reinvent BeatsX Wireless earphones in three new whimsical color-ways: Burned Red, Deep White, and True Black.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at the concept and creation of the collaboration with sacai’s Founder / Designer Chitose Abe and Beats President Luke Wood at sacai’s headquarters in Tokyo.”
And the video:
BeatsX headphones are typically pretty cheap, but that isn’t really the case with this exclusive model. Beats by Dre and Sacari are pricing the beaded BeatsX at $200.
What do you think of the Beats by Dre and Sacai BeatsX headphones? Would you pick one up Apple sold it broadly?
