Watch Siri Jailbreak iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 and Install Cydia Using Upcoming Unc0ver Jailbreak Tool
Posted by Rajesh Pandey on Feb 19, 2019 in Hacks, Unc0ver Jailbreak
While unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 is still in development stages, a developer from the team has posted a teaser video of the jailbreak in action on their iPhone X over at Reddit. What’s funny is that he triggers the process of unc0ver jailbreaking their iPhone with the help of Siri Shortcuts and Siri — “Hey Siri Install Cydia.”
Once the developer says the Siri Shortcuts hotword in the video, the unc0ver app opens and runs through the exploits. A few minutes later, the phone resprings and it has Cydia installed. Sadly, don’t get too excited about an unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 for now. The jailbreak is in private testing right now, though if everything goes as planned, a public release should be out soon.

Do note that whenever the first unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 is released, it won’t support A12 Bionic devices like the iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and the 2018 iPad Pro. The team behind unc0ver still has not managed to get their hands on an A12 device. However, it is likely that once they get around to releasing the iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 jailbreak for A11 and lower devices, they will work on adding support for A12 Bionic devices.
For now, if you are eagerly waiting for an iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 jailbreak, you should perhaps just watch the video on repeat.
