iOS 13 release date

Apple today unveiled iOS 13 with a number of new features. The company will also seed the first developer beta of iOS 13 later today, though the public release is quite some time away. If you don’t want to install iOS 13 in its current buggy state and want to wait for the public release, you have quite a few months of waiting ahead of you.

iOS 13 Release Date

Just like every year, Apple has only released the first developer beta of iOS 13. Before the final public release of the OS, the company will be rolling out a few more developer and public betas and fix all the bugs being reported. This also means that like every year, the final public version of iOS 13 will be released to the public sometime in September.

Apple will likely release iOS 13 to the public a week before the 2019 iPhones are about to go on sale. This means if you want to enjoy a bug-free, smooth and stable iOS 13 experience, you still have a few months of waiting ahead of you. If you don’t mind the bugs, you can install the iOS 13 developer beta on your iPhone or iPad right away. For that, follow this guide.

You can also wait for the first public beta release which should be slightly more stable. It is expected to drop later this month. Ideally, if you want to install iOS 13 beta on your daily driver iPhone or iPad, you should wait for the release of beta 3 as by then most of the stability issues and bugs would have been resolved.

iOS 13 drops support for popular iPhones like the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. Find a list of all the compatible iPhones and iPads with iOS 13 and iPadOS here.
